9th International Conference on Damage Assessment of Structures
11 - 13 July 2011
St. Anne's College, University of Oxford

Organised by the IOP Applied Mechanics Group

First announcement (PDF, 971 KB)

This is the ninth in a series of biennial international conferences, which aim to bring together the expertise of scientists and engineers in academia and industry in the field of damage assessment, structural health monitoring and non-destructive evaluation.

DAMAS conference is now well established as a major forum for discussion and dissemination of recent advances in damage detection, assessment and quantification, following the eight previous ones in Pescara (Italy, 1995), Sheffield (UK, 1997), Dublin (Ireland, 1999), Cardiff (UK, 2001), Southampton (UK, 2003), Gdansk (Poland, 2005), Torino (Italy, 2007) and Beijing (China, 2009).

The conference will cover all research topics relevant to damage assessment of engineering structures and systems including signal processing of sensor measurements and theoretical techniques as well as experimental case studies, and numerical simulations.

A social programme for accompanying persons will be available shortly.

Organising Committee

Prof Huajiang Ouyang, University of Liverpool, UK (Conference Chair)
Prof Vadim Silberschmidt, University of Loughborough, UK
Prof Fulei Chu, Tsinghua University, China
Prof Wieslaw Ostachowicz, Polish Academy of Science, Poland
